“God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” (1 Peter 5:5) The Bible says that when Moses met with the Lord, he covered his face, humbled himself and trembled in His presence. He did not pride himself thinking he was a holy man. He took off his sandals and humbled himself. And when he did that, the Lord Almighty spoke to Moses; for forty days He sat with Moses and spoke to him. He spoke face to face with the Lord whose fire consumes and smites anyone who sees Him. The Lord gave him power and authority. He gave Moses the wisdom to lead 220,000 people. He honoured Moses and gave him authority because he humbled himself. My dearly beloved, whether we are old, or wise, or wealthy, or have achieved something huge, or have received big miracles through prayer; when we humble ourselves at the feet of the Lord, tremble at His word, grow closer to Him in spirit and submit our prayers to Him, He will definitely listen to our prayers. He will give us strength and we will receive blessings. Let us look unto the Lord and ask Him to give us a humble heart. PRAYER:
Our Gracious Heavenly Father, I thank You for this wonderful day. Lord, I come into Your presence asking You to give me the strength to be humble. No matter how much people praise me or how much I have achieved; help me stay humble and kind to others around me so that people will see Your grace in my life. Let Your Holy Spirit be my guide and keep me humble. I make this prayer in Your matchless name. Amen.
