The Spirit of the LORD, not the enemy is like a flood. Isaiah 59:19 – So shall they fear The name of the LORD from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him. The scriptures have no mistakes but the translators made some mistakes. E.g. Psalm 8:4 – What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? 5 For You have made him a little lower than the ANGELS, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. In Hebrew the word angels in verse 5 is ELOHIYM [GOD]. The translators could not fathom [or found it hard to accept] that God had made man a little lower than Himself not angels. Heb 1:13 says “But to which of the angels has He ever said: “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool”? Notice that God has never told an angel to SIT! However, the redeemed of the LORD have the permission to do so in God’s presence. Ephesians 2:4 says “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He LOVED US, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, MADE US ALIVE together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and RAISED US UP together, and MADE US SIT together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,” Coming back to Isaiah 59:19, the coma has been placed after the word flood instead of the words comes in. So the scripture should read “When the enemy comes in, like a flood The Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him.” One of the definitions of the word flood is “to overwhelm with abundance of something [good or bad]”. The enemy may attempt to overwhelm people and nations but God’s love, grace, power, wisdom, mercy, goodness… is truly overwhelming above and beyond anything the enemy may try to do. Think about it, if satan and his forces are really overwhelming then The Lord Jesus Christ would not have resurrected. But Jesus is alive today because the Spirit of the LORD like a flood surged into hell, OVERWHELMED hell and its forces and got Jesus out of there! Hallelujah! Romans 8:11 – But if the SPIRIT OF HIM who raised Jesus from the dead DWELLS IN YOU, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I decree that the Spirit of the LORD like a flood lifts up a standard against every infiltration of the enemy in your life, your family, your neighborhood, your city and your nation.
