Always remain humble because no one in life is irreplaceable. Below, I share three scriptural examples of people who were replaced. Take note that their replacement was better than them! 2ND CORINTHIANS 13:1 – … “By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established.” [1.] When Queen Vashti felt “too hot” for the King, she was replaced by Queen Esther who was BETTER than her. ESTHER 1:19 -“If it pleases the king, let a royal decree go out from him, and let it be recorded in the laws of the Persians and the Medes, so that it will not be altered, that Vashti shall come no more before King Ahasuerus; and let the king give her royal position to ANOTHER WHO IS BETTER THAN SHE. [2.] When King Saul disregarded God’s commandments, he was replaced by King David who was BETTER than him. 1ST SAMUEL 15:28 – So Samuel said to him, “The LORD has torn the kingdom of Israel from you today, and has given it to a neighbor of yours, WHO IS BETTER THAN YOU. [3.] When Adam disobeyed God and sold humanity to the devil, Jesus Christ came as the second [and last] Adam to redeemed humanity back to God. 1ST CORINTHIANS 15:45 – And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The LAST ADAM [Jesus Christ] became a life-giving spirit. ROMANS 5:19 – For as by one man’s disobedience [Adam] many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience [Jesus] many will be made righteous. What has God instructed you to do? You are doing yourself a great favor when you obey and accomplish that task. Of course, obedience brings God pleasure but always remember you are not that special. What you are doing can in all probability be done by many other people who are better than you. Ouch! By the grace and the blessing of God may you never blunder and provide legitimate reasons for your replacement. Also, beware that you can be replaced and not even know it! JUDGES 16:20 – And she said, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” So he awoke from his sleep, and said, “I will go out as before, at other times, and shake myself free!” But HE DID NOT KNOW that the LORD had DEPARTED from him. DECREE: In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I decree and declare that by the grace of God, I obey and serve God willingly, joyfully and with gladness of heart; today, tomorrow and all the days of my life. Therefore, no one will ever substitute or replace me because I delightfully do God’s will and finish His work for me here on earth. Amen!
